BitNami open source softwarestacks

BitNami stacks are not VMs or software appliances but make it incredibly easy to install your favorite open source software. Application stacks include an open source application and all the dependencies necessary to run it, such as Apache, MySQL and PHP or Ruby. All you need to do is download the Stack, provide a few pieces of information when prompted by the installation wizard, and that's it. By the time you click 'finish', your new application will be ready to run. All stacks have been packaged using BitRock's multiplatform installer.

Greetings from an old PHP hack...

I am in the middle of dipping my toe into the vox waters, I discovered this PHP group and thought it might be helpful to introduce myself and offer a hand.

I have used PHP for quite some time now on both commercial and open source stuff - some of you may have heard of the "PluggedOut Blog" or "PluggedOut CMS" projects from years past - that was me (he says, jumping behind a line of sandbags).

I still keep an eye on what's happening with PHP, and have looked at version 5, along with the Smarty templating engine from time to time. It's a great language, and very fast to develop in - esp. with MySQL as a back end DB.

Anyway - I'm rambling. Just wanted to say hello - I'll try and keep an eye on the group and answer the odd question!

Services_ProjectHoneyPot

After the vote had finished last week and the package was accepted with a few conditionals, I just uploaded version 0.5.0 of Services_ProjectHoneyPot to its new home in PEAR. Now I am planning to incorporate some feedback I received from Travis over the coming weekend and release a 0.6.0 or maybe 1.0.0RC1.

The code will most likely stay in Subversion on Google Code and not move to cvs.php.net any time soon.

After more than two years of development we're proud to announce the
first stable version of RoundCube Webmail. It's not as feature rich as
we'd like it to be but the released version is considered to run
stable for a productive environment. Thanks to our users we fixed many
bugs and added some nice new features since the first 0.1-alpha
version was published in 2005. So go ahead and upgrade your
